The infected teen's sequence dropped last night. Not good news. It has PB2 E627K mutation and has mammalian adaptation like the B3.13 cattle clade. It's coming.
We are at stage 3.
BREAKING: Hawaii reports #H5N1 bird flu in a backyard flock of birds in Central Oahu, according to Hawaii News Now.
Hawaii was the last US state to not have reported any outbreak of H5N1.
Trust me, #H5N1 isn't just confined to poultry or dairy farms anymore. The last few human cases with no links to farms had an unknown origin. What's that tell ya? 🤨
