Here's what it comes down to wrt #Twitter:
I can deal with a social media site where I have to block 10 people to make it useful.
I can deal, somewhat painfully, with a site where I have to block 100 people.
But I cannot even use a site where I have to block 1000, 2000 or more people to have a merely average experience–and they just keep coming. Where there's no way to get away from the nastiness.
