Can someone help me here? I've got a copy of Ubuntu Unity for ARM procesors I am trying to install. Boots fine on the machine, but when I get to the user login, it will not recognize any of the common ubuntu or linux default username/passwords.

I've tried various combinations of ubuntu:ubuntu, ubuntu:<nopassword>, linux, root, etc.

And of course the documentation indicates nothing special, and the "help" forums are all full of people saying "use ubuntu:ubuntu, duh, stupid!"

@AskTheDevil default username/passwords? Is that a thing? It didn't prompt you to make a username and password for the local admin? I'm not at all familiar with ARM installs

@b4cks4w Most linux installs have a default username/pass combo. When you've installed it onto a system, it's got whatever you set. But when you get a live ISO, or something has done a very base install, there will often be a default username (so you can try out the system, then run the installer). Also, a lot of these installs for phones and tablets (including ARM ones) are shipped as live systems for running off a flash drive.

@AskTheDevil TIL. I have not often messed with live ISOs, either install to metal or aVM.
