Choose :
1) side sconces
2) overhead

Problem: I initially chose side sconces with this mirror, similar to pictured. BUT.. i have 7.5 inches between the vanity mirror edge and shower tile… so we’re talking an inch of space surrounding on the left.

So I do a quick switch and go with overhead? Basically limited to show. Models because I now have to pick it up tomorrow.

Shown: vanity mirror, original sconce, overhead option, Inspo bathroom style.

@Beanc I can't stop looking at that stud peeking in the bottom left corner. Is that true dimension fir? mmmmmm come over here

@Beanc @Beanc nah, I just have a bit of a fetish for old lumber. The stud showing behind the plaster(?) looks like it was made a long while ago and from fir rather than fast growth pine.

@b4cks4w oh maybe? I mean, pretty sure it’s all 1940’s wood

Welcome to my studs

@Beanc oh yessss that does look like fir or yellow pine from the beforetimes. Stronger than anything we can get (afford) now.

@b4cks4w tbh, that’s how I feel about much of the house. Like… I’m pretty sure this tile is original or close to it?

Dunno. They obv Reno’d once because there was a vinyl layer below tile floor, but that tile was old and THICK

Yeah I have had to do a lot of work but it lasted 75 ish years…

@Beanc I love this book, the gist of which is: buildings change, predictably, embrace it
How buildings learn
what happens after they're built
