Seems that when I was looking at a book about 3rd Infantry operations in WWII that there was an army citation associated with each beach landing operation - or at least for the contested ones. So between Africa, Sicily and France my father in law had 3 on his record. Does anyone know what those were labelled?

@Sr0bi I'm not an historian but have noticed the US Army has uploaded a lot of information to the Internet Archive, where IMO it is somewhat more accessible. Like: archive.org/details/AssaultLan

Worth a look. I may have to go back to the individual record that was once available. I know some citations were mentioned but not the exact title. I was hoping to luck out and find reference to it elsewhere. Things I should have asked while the people in question were still living.

@Sr0bi I've also had good results emailing the National Archives, caveat the fire that ate so many records. archives.gov/veterans/military
