Over the past week eased into self-quarantine to not contribute to extra loads on medical resources. Started stocking food and necessities when China's infection rate went exponential, reasoning that at the very least America's supply chain would be disrupted. It was apparent that the virus was going on a world tour."

@Priestess @b4cks4w I saw it coming too. It let me practice at school with students for what I figured was coming (lotta people thought I was overreacting). Skype, Teams and Zoom. I had a much easier time b/c I’d told my students “ok see how you can break it” so I was ready for all the annoying teenagery things they did when we went remote.

@b4cks4w It was obvious to everyone who knows the nature of airborne viruses for which there are no vaccines.
The first time I heard of it was in late January. At that point, I decided as soon as there was one case in North Carolina I would hibernate away from people completely since my husband has COPD and would be at major risk. In late February, someone took a flight to Raleigh from a conference in Boston and was diagnosed with Corona Virus the 1st week of March. It spread very quickly.
