Texas is really pushing the boundaries.

Speaking as a student of history, this is fascinating and deeply alarming to me.

People often describe the start of conflicts like WW1 and the Civil War as sparks that caught in a gas filled room.

The Assassination of the Archduke of course kicked off WW1 and the secession of South Carolina and dispute over Fort Sumter kicked off the US Civil War.

This is quickly becoming something that could go in a similar direction.

Eh. Before we get too drawn in; Texas wouldn't last 30 minutes without Federal subsidies. According to Texas.

"In 2021 alone, the federal government allocated a historic level of funding to states, including Texas, through two pieces of legislation signed by President Biden."
