Emojis in Slack are not syntactic sugar for the English language. Sending me a 🧐 in response to an announcement I've made tells me nothing except that you are possibly a douchebag.
There's a whole keyboard next to that mouse. USE YOUR WORDS.

I kid. I actually agree, especially on Slack which I find tedious to navigate. Can you even search for emoji on Slack?

No, you can't search for emojis on Slack, or at least I've never been able to find a way.
And I probably shouldn't even have posted, except I know the guy who responded with an emoji, I know he did it just so he'd have some kind of "paper trail" if what I announced had trouble, and I probably got a little more het up than I should have.
Hell, I use emojis around here. Just not to communicate business concerns in an untraceable, smarmy, CYA kinda way.
