Cipher only overwrites blank space, right? So I can use it on my operating drive?

And just how good is that delete?

@Beanc Not my area of expertise, but I think it effectively overwrites de-allocated blocks. Prior data is gone.
BUT
Windows (server?) can make shadow volumes, i.e. journalled file system. Cipher won't touch that and data retrieval is conceivable.
