Librarians create fake library card to save thousands of books.
There's nothing more sacred to a librarian than a library card. But when a town in Florida decided to burn all the books that hadn't been taken out in a while, local librarians made a fake card for one Chuck Finley. Chuck, who doesn't exist, checked out 2,361 books to keep them from being Fahrenheit 451'd.

Heart warming as that story is libraries have to weed* and there are great ways to do it like give the books to Better World Books, which will even send giant cardboard crates. The books go where they are needed.
BURNING them? BURN...know what, I'm gonna just do some breathing exercises right now.
*Unless it's U. Chicago, or Yale, or such like.

Like, there are books I hate, but I wouldn't say burn them... these people don't understand how important knowledge is...
