Got a chance to look at the SpaceX launch feed; and the images are very wild. It appears the passive separation system did not respond/react as expected.
Still an amazing test launch.

@pendrag Yeah. Some engines never fired either, so kind of cool it flew anyway.

Surprised though that the separation failed but the flip happened anyway? That's never gonna be a good result.

My personal guess would be that after the command for separation triggered, the Super Heavy was trying to do the burn back to splash into the Gulf of Mexico, but with Starship still attached that made for a top heavy merry go round.
