@szethsonson I wonder if we need to add the EVs to that. ANY new manufactured vehicle adds to overall carbon.

Anyway, what about systematically getting older cars off the road. How much could it mitigate?
E.g. I think my little IC beater represents less carbon/emissions than a new EV. When I eventually replace it, it's going to recycling. Do that for every new EV.

@b4cks4w systematically getting older cars off the road should be the goal of every 1st world country - the challenge there is convincing people to swap to EVs and even if you do what about the millions of people that own their ICE vehicles that will now have to take on the cost of financing or infrastructure for charging said EV. There are a lot of small issues to tackle with this problem.
