what just happened....

I opened the DMV website,
filled in a few ID questions,
and voila the information I wanted...was...right...there.

What about the hassle and pain, DMV? Where're the long lines and surly clerks? I expect abuse, heaps and heaps of abuse. And waiting, and no answers, and come back on the third Thursday of the 13th month.

They can't just _give_ me the information, easily and immediately. What next? Easy to understand tax forms?

@jurban Not at present but I've lived in SoCal, and that wasn't an especially great DMV experience. They tried to forcibly separate me from my 12 yr old kid.

Hoooo boy that was a special day for everyone.

Yikes!
Well, I was asking because my friend became the director of the CA DMV and he revamped the IT operations and it's a lot more efficient now.
