Putin unified the Baltics (to the EU), part #137:
"...if damage to power equipment creates an electrical shock in Ukraine, the rest of the European network...should hold power steady at 50 hertz across the entire zone. “It was almost heroic to come and save Ukraine in this way,” Jermalavičius told IEEE Spectrum yesterday.
Jermalavičius says the situation also has helped the Baltic states on Russia’s far western flank: Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania."

@b4cks4w this made me remember the IEEE trade shows in Boston. my dad would take my older brother & i out of school to "help" (like 10/11 year olds do...) at his booth. apparently we were pretty popular... it was fun, and it wasn't school. win/win

@redenigma sounds like it beat whatever was going on in 4th/5th grade for sure.

@b4cks4w my 4th grade teacher used to stand next to me, tapping on my desk & tell the class how stupid people from New York were... (but she was one of those people that think the state & the city are the same thing)
