Qualcomm and Meta insist headgear to plug you into the metaverse will 'supersede mobile'
Oh they are _funny_.
Thoughts:
1. Wrong. Humans don't like it when other humans wear surveillance gear on their face. Stephenson nailed this in Zuck's playbook, "Snow Crash" with "troglodytes". Zuck doesn't seem to understand what words mean or how emotions work.
2. No need. I've had AR on my mobiles for years. It's awesome. Nothing to fix. Don't want VR when I'm IRL.

@mcfate yeah don't get me started on connectivity and bandwidth, which AT&T recently removed from my farm.
Glass has a few applications. Surgeons? Assembly line workers?
But don't let it get near me on the street.
@b4cks4w "troglodyte" is a fun word to let roll off your tongue.
troglodyte

They haven't really managed to supersede flip-phones for much of the world.
They still don't get why Google Glass was such a massive failure.
