Tufekci, data on unvaccinated population(s):
TL/DR; terrible US healthcare for the most part.
"Almost 95% of those over 65 in the United States have received at least one dose. ... this age group is prone to online misinformation, heavily represented among Fox News viewers, and more likely to vote Republican. Clearly, misinformation is not destiny.
...the most powerful predictor of who remained unvaccinated was ... lack of health insurance."

@redenigma yes, and b/c no regular MD, no trust. I can relate to this - last couple MDs tried to kill me. Haven't established care.
@b4cks4w one of the lies about health insurance is that you get to choose your doctors... sure, if they're approved by your insurance provider. companies change health insurance constantly, going for the lowest costs. you may have finally found a doctor, only to suddenly find he's no longer covered in your new plan. i've had the same health providers since i was mid-20s. why? because i never had any employer paid health insurance. i've always paid out-of-pocket (they offer uninsured discounts)
