not being a Google product/user, I was not aware of most of this history. Allo? And wasn't there a Brazilian(?) platform for a while too?
I understand their evolutionary strategy but...what an incoherent mess.

@b4cks4w I've used their chat for ages, since it's pretty user friendly and my fiance preferred it at some point.
Killing Hangouts is the push I need to finally get away from it, though. Not going to the new iteration.
