As matter of fact you could live your life and not really worry too much it was all humming along.

This tax proposal is the most regressive act I've ever seen.

It would be painful for middle class, but for the lowest socio-economic groups who currently pay little to no taxes because, too little income, this would be *devastating*. They'd go from barely squeaking by while paying 7ish% sales tax & 0 income tax to suddenly paying 30% sales tax.

If it were a flat income tax of 30% for all gross income starting at $200K, no write-offs, no exceptions, all income/gift/stock/whatever counts? 👍
