A recent commission of John Wayne as Sgt. Stryker in "The Sands of Iwo Jima"

I copying photos so I sourced multiple images to create something wholly new. An ai generated image helped with the pose. A Sketchfab model helped with proper hand placement. Extrapolated Wayne's head from about 3 or 4 images that were close to the angle I wanted. The fatigues, belts and rifle (M1 Garand) are based on photos from the period. The backpack is entirely made up and not accurate.

Ran a coloring/drawing station for kids today. This something I did to kill the time. Playing around with greebles (random details) in sci-fi type art.

marker & pencil on 9x12 NilTech warm tone paper

The face I call "Sinister Tech"

The one with the cape scarf I call "High Fidelity"

The Comic Jam Hawaii Drink & Draw theme was "Vampires." I was torn between Amylin and Akasha. So I polled folks on various social media. Akasha won (9 votes to 5 votes). So here's my Queen of the Damned. I had to simplify the costume a lot to get it done on time, so don't look too hard at it. :D

If you need something to do Wednesday evenings, venture over to a CJH Drink & Draw. This week we're taking on Zombies. 7pm HST. On the CJH FB page, or the artildawn Twitch and YT channels.

Hulk, Beach!!!

Not necessarily a tradition but it seems every few years I draw Hulk trick or treating. This year it's as Ken.

For those of you with kids. Come trick or treat in the safety and security of Pearlridge Center. I'll be there repping CJH with coloring sheets and crayon packs (while supplies last). Yes, I'll have candy too.

Can you make a plant man into a zombie? Not sure, but I tried. This is the "Brown Man," the zombified version of the Celtic myth of the Green Man.

The zombie photo board is ready. Find me (and the board) at Millilani Town Keiki Fair on the 21st or at Candy Crawl on Halloween at Pearlridge Center.

Streambook pieces for sale! See pictures for pricing. Shipping within the U.S. will be $10. International shipping will require me getting an estimate.

Paypal, Venmo, Credit Card*.
*I can invoice via paypal for credit card users.

If you're not in a hurry, you can send a check.

These are a fraction smaller than letter size at 8.42x11. Each will be mailed in a rigid toploading sleeve.

Hopefully some of these will sell as a hedge against a government shutdown in November.

The drink & draw theme was "ghosts" so of course I pulled an obscure reference out of my childhood; "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir."

So I did something drastic, I cut apart my streambook. It's so hard to try to sell the book as a whole for a reasonable price. So now all pieces (about 60+) will be available separately. I'll get a post up to show all the pieces that were in the book.

I did the line art of Cohen back in June. Decided to finally color it in and then added the troll to help fill up the page a bit.

Just a goofy little illustration to commemorate writer Gail Simone coming to Maui Comic Con this year.

I call it "A Red Gail Hits Maui"

Just another goofy idea that was stuck in my head until I committed it to paper. What if Lady Sif from the MCU was a Star Wars Sif Lord. I'm calling her Sif Lord. The other pun would have been Lady Sith. Anyway, she's out in the world now. Now I want to Jamie Alexander in the Star Wars universe.
