You're so right... it's the respect and general acceptance that protects the quality of our community. People an disagree and even block each other... but it doesn't end up in a hate feast that infects the entire site.
Folks listen to what you have to say, encourage you to add sources to support some topics- which is a great habit to have when sharing so much information.
