@Victor We have turkey vultures where I live and, I must say, they are one of the most beautiful birds I've seen. I like spotting them and knowing what they do for nature.

@1anniem I have to check myself often from thinking that the Orange Candidate is playing to be an autocrat, but then I read stuff like this and can't explain what he means by it other than to be an autocrat. Definitely need to heed his advice though: Everyone should get out and vote.

@lifeinthePNW I agree it seems like a new zeitgeist, and it makes me wonder what's the root cause. I suspect once we know the root cause, we can actually address it and get people, all of us, me included, to think more rationally, while bringing down the temperature of the whole society.

@lifeinthePNW Exactly why I don't use Nextdoor. Amount of paranoia is quite high. It does make me wonder why people are so afraid of EVERYTHING. I wonder if it's a sign of the heightened sense of fear from all other things that spills over.
