Remembering the lecture on Matthew 5;28, and my takeaway from that was if you think a sin, you've committed it- not sure that was the good Father's intent, but thinking at the time of the two worst sins I could think of- breaking biscuits you had no intention of buying, or sending rhubarb to unsuspecting Quakers (some of my teachers didn't speak clearly) - I had the crisis of believing I'd committed those sins just by thinking of them. Some ages are a wee bit too young for some concepts.

@KyleL This is why many religious upbringings are deeply traumatizing. I used to be so scared I'd committed the unforgivable sin of blaspheming the holy ghost just by thinking about it.

Yeah- I didn't sort any of that out until much much later, and I think that's what started my skepticism, shall we say.
