We get sparklers every July 4th then save a few for NYE. It’s sometimes cold as hell on NYE here but we still stand outside and light some sparklers to ring in the new year. Traditions you start are fun.

Spouse and I have been together for 10 years today ☺️

My mild sunburn is making me feel warm & can’t sleep. Bummer.

Spent the day checking out BFF’s house and then hanging out at the river at sister’s house. Spending the night so I don’t need to drive 1-1/2 hours home just to come back again tomorrow :)

First week at new job complete. Still very happy with the decision. I’m going to learn so dang much.

Now need to talk to spouse about rearranging office to make me a work space. Going in to an empty office is silly when all meetings are done on Teams.

According to past coworkers shit has hit the fan and the department is falling apart. One person already submitted her 2-week notice. Sounds like others are considering it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I need to negotiate a workspace at home with spouse so I can go hybrid. Working totally in the office seems lonely and why not take advantage of working from home if I can?

I’m in a “let’s all go to lunch together!” department 😩 at least everyone is so far great and they’re not onsite all the time either.

Jeez. There’s showers, locker room and a fitness center in the building. The perks just keep coming

It’s been kinda amazing first day. The HQ building where I’m working is like a hotel almost. I’m on 3rd (top) floor, there are windows and a kickass cafeteria. It’s SO quiet in the office because of how many ppl WFH but it’s nice. I don’t have space right now to work from home but maybe eventually go hybrid. Lots of training these next several months though.

Fighting the Imposter syndrome monster this morning. It’s trying to convince me I’m stupid, I don’t know anything, I don’t deserve this job, I will fail, I wont get along with anyone, I won’t know what I’m doing, etc. Wanker.
