Plus I’m not a chatty person. I don’t like small talk. I don’t have kids or pets or grandkids to talk about.
It’ll be nice when I can WFH because it’s a pain in the ass finding an unreserved conference room to borrow for trainings and 1:1s so I’m not stuck at my desk talking through things.
They’re doing some remodeling at work so they’re selling a bunch of office chairs and versa desks later this week. I intend to get one of the chairs for $60 since apparently they normally retail around $1200. Damn!
I forgot we had 2 beer brewing kits still! May as well use them. An Irish red in the carboy now.
Sunday roast with carrots & potatoes already in the crockpot.

My guess would be the DEA, ATF, and FBI were going to the guys apartment for a search. He fled and when they stopped him that’s when the shooting happened.
The area of the apartment they're searching is known for being sketchy and has a history of problems.
The husband of one of my acquaintances is a Fargo police officer. He wasn’t working because he is on medical leave due to a brain tumor surgery. Unfortunately they found out that his brain tumor diagnosis is high stage brain cancer 😢

I have been posting here for around 2 weeks. I left twitter about a year ago and fell for the 'Mastodon is the natural successor, all hail Mastodon' hype. I spent 8 months there being totally ignored, even by those whose posts I commented on. I have not only had more interaction on here in 2 weeks than 8 months over there, the interactions here are quality personified. Exchanging opinions without fragile egos taking over. Thank you CoSo.

I wonder what impact this will have on the downtown street fair & county fair going on.
I was gonna go down to the street fair tomorrow but now not sure.
There were shots in town fired 7/6 on the southeast side of city that were under investigation. They did a search warrant and apprehended the suspects this morning.
The shooting this afternoon is so far probably unrelated but who knows. They’re still piecing it together. Expect a news conference later this evening.
I’m fine. My family, friends and coworkers are all fine. I’m pissed people behave this way.

There may or may not have been a 3-officer involved #gunviolence occurrence in Fargo today after a minor car accident. Really hard to tell when people on SM make allegations and “well I heard….” Posts.
Everyone needs anger management & conflict resolution training.
Four weeks to vacation but I don’t feel like I need a countdown :) that feels nice.
I have to request a Data file a third time because they did not follow the required template 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Also locked myself out of the training site so I guess I’ll spend my day working on something else or LinkedIn Learning courses.
I got paid! Thank goodness. Going a few weeks without a paycheck was weird & unnerving.
Jump in head-first. Take on tasks that you think might be over your head. Say yes to opportunities even if they’re scary or you’re not confident what you’re doing. Be excited to jump in and take the reigns. Make mistakes. Fail. Fail spectacularly then learn & never stop learning.
