Oh wow, they paid out my PTO already. That’s a relief to have it already & put in savings.

Finally got my orientation info for next week for the new job. All of the info sessions will be done over Teams because so much of the staff work remotely. I’ll be working on-site at first to get the hang of things but want to be set up for the option to be able to work from home once we have a designated space in our place for it.

Originally got up early to go with spouse to give his uncle a ride to an outpatient surgical appt… but it’d be silly because he’d have to do that then drop me back off at home, etc.
No reason to run around a bunch.

Four hours later and passport renewal is sent off (but I have this weird feeling I didn’t put the $ amount on the check - we shall see!) and clothes shopping done. Bought some cute tops and dresses.
It’s a whopping 95° with high winds so I’m staying’ home the rest of the day.

Paperwork all filled out. Going to the same post office little sister used because she said everything went smoothly. Then it’s off to a few stores for some clothes shopping. Also wrote up a rough draft of our Vegas itinerary.
Might as well get as much running around done today as possible since it’s supposed to be stormy for the next four days starting tomorrow. We badly need to rain.

Had tentative lunch plans with spouse but he to cancel because he has some things to take care of so maybe tomorrow or some other day this week.
Crossed a few more things off my To Do list. Clean windows look so good.

No Sunday night scaries. No worrying about what’s waiting for me at work. No worrying who might call in.

Working on a list of things I want to accomplish and other things I want to do during my week off. Including some fun things like take myself out to brunch, leisurely clothes shopping, possibly strawberry picking with BFF if strawberries are ready next weekend.

I am officially done with the company I worked at for the last 10 years & 10 months. Everyone as very sad I’m not changing my mind & staying.

NGL I teared up a little on my way home after reading a card I got from my past boss (the previous Director). Last day is tomorrow but today we had cake. Tonight I write Thank Yous.

We were sitting on the balcony chatting & watching a little bunbun hop around the courtyard this evening. It scampered across the yard and fell into an uncovered hole in the ground. It was such a silly thing to see it just disappear & not be able to see from our vantage point how deep the hole was. 30 seconds later it popped back out safely. Turns out it was the hole where the sprinkler controls are so it was only about 8” deep. Poor little thing.
