Anyone else feeling absolute despair at the state of the world?
I’ve been trying to shake it since Putin invaded Ukraine and nothing good is happening. Forest fires, Gulf Stream collapse, Pierre Poilievre, Republicans, Gaza, species extinction, inflation, corporate profit gouging… on top of all the existing problems.
The only relief is that I’m near the end of my natural life and I won’t be around to see the complete collapse of everything on the planet.

I've situated myself in a zone where the troubles remain far away...
Purposefully... at 66, youngest of four, now three brothers, with zero children or nieces/nephews, my generation succeeded in snuffing out our family name: we're in a morbid "lottery" to see which of us is "the last one standing"...
