Observation by a dear wise friend yesterday. For those of us who are baby boomers, we will likely die before the end of human civilization as we know it, before climate change breaks the infrastructure of communities, before swathes of the planet are uninhabitable, before global agriculture fails, before mass starvation and migration, before disease ravages the population. We are lucky to die before the mass die-off. So we welcome our passing now without fear but with gratitude.
