Why should I provide a vegetarian/vegan option for vegetarian/vegan friends of friends?
They never provide a meat/fish option when I'm invited for dinner.....

@Airborne_Frog
Hear me out & I will give you a perspective.
As an omnivore, providing a guest with a vegan/vegetarian dish simply requires you to withhold meat ingredients. No moral conflict for you.

As a vegan/vegetarian, providing a guest a meat dish requires them to add meat ingredients, purchasing & handling products of cruelty. That is a moral conflict that a good friend would normally not ask of another.

Thanks for the respectful consideration from the other side.

Many many vegans silently suffer watching family & friends consume, relish, discuss these cruelty products. Then we endure mocking on social media like we are the lepers of the dinner circuit. I feel like they mock us so they can ignore the cognitive dissonance. I’m sorry if it makes people uncomfortable so I often hide it. If it makes you annoyed, you can just ignore it. I don’t judge meat eaters - they are my family, children, dear friends. I just ask for mutual respect & a voice at the table.
