I’m asking you to share your citation because I believe that’s only for expedited requests. I can’t see any indication that standard processing has this requirement.
Yeah, that’s basically a new passport at this point. To the best of my knowledge, standard processing doesn’t require proof of travel, but expedited does.
@amarand But I do have to get it in person. And the Chicago Passport Center only does appointments for expedited or life-or-death emergencies.
@amarand Never mind, I guess the issue was that I was looking at the Chicago Passport Center vs a Passport Acceptance Facility.
Okay. So…you can still request a passport through the standard method, which does not require proof of travel, but you don’t want to - or are unable to - wait. Understood.
@amarand In my case, I have an old passport that I need to renew. But it was issued over 15 years ago, so I can't renew it online or through the mail. I have to do it in person.
