I find the Calculator offensive.
@amarand I can respect that, but you lose the cohesion when you start using third party apps.
Are all OEM’s required to do this or is this something Apple did on their own so they can have some peace and quiet.😅
My Calculator statement was a joke.
I do think the EU has rules about competition and if you force someone to have apps on their phone, it’s somewhat anti-competitive.
@amarand @CrashOverride yup its a EU rule
Also iPhone will open up to third party app stores is another rule - Third-party app stores, the ability for browsers to run their own engines, Fortnite, and now the ability to replace lots of default apps?
iPhones are just more fun in the EU lol

Default apps are a pain mostly anyway - its why ive been an android fan for so long at least we have the ability to remove them if we want
I don’t have a problem with choice, but that’s what Android is there for. Forcing Apple to open up their OS is bullshit. If you want freedom and customization, you buy Android. If you want security and optimization, you buy iOS, it’s that simple.
The problem is, Europeans seem to want their cake and eat it too and I completely understand why Apple has been giving y’all such a hard time. I would too, if after a decade of use, I was blindsided by this nonsense. (3/4)
@CrashOverride you can remove system apps from android not just disable them
Using ADB
There are plenty tutorials
Removing bloatware is pretty simple and system apps on android
https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/
https://www.makeuseof.com/uninstall-android-app-adb-system-apps-bloatware/
Just two tutorials
and you dont need to root the device
Unfortunately the world doesn't work like that saying a company should be allowed to run as it sees fit is kinda immature. Companies have to comply with all countries laws not just the country it is from
@CrashOverride also iOS is just as vulnerable as android is when it comes to security
Its a myth that iOS is more secure and laughable really
@CrashOverride
I mean, they put 6 and 9 right next to each other! Think of the children! 😹
