"I spent 50 years successfully promoting television magic, making mountains out of molehills every day. But I say now to my fellow Americans, without any promotional exaggeration: If you believe that Trump will be better for you or better for the country, that is an illusion, much like “The Apprentice” was. Even if you are a born-and-bred Republican, as I was, I strongly urge you to vote for Kamala Harris. The country will be better off and so will you."
Who doesn't love a funny and warm obituary? This guy's son did a bang up job. Wonder if he'll write mine?

The WaPo is finally asking questions about Trump's mental acquity. Late in the game I think.
"Slurring, Trump then said: “Let’s not do any more questions. Let’s just listen to music."
And then he stood on stage and swayed for 39 minutes of songs from his personal playlist before seeming to recall that he was supposed to be talking about the election, which he suddenly told the confused crowd was “the most important election in the history of our country” before turning back to the music."

It isn’t immigrants who are ruining the USA. I’m not fearful of the people who pick fruits, vegetables and take jobs that most Americans won’t touch, and who can barely get by. We know who pumps out lies, smears and bullshyt propaganda 24/7. It’s immigrants like Murdoch, Musk and Peter Thiel who are ruining our country.

"This is Trump's America, where people who are trying to participate in democracy and serve the public become targets for threats and violence if it serves Trump to call his mob on them. First it was public health experts during a pandemic, then poll workers during an election. Now it's FEMA workers following two devastating hurricanes."

Just got back to Philly from a few days in Nashville for the You Got Gold concert at the Ryman Auditorium. It honors the memory and work of my favorite singer/songwriter, John Prine. Lots of great guests made for a really special concert. Bela Fleck, Shawn Colvin, Rosanne Cash, Todd Snider and Jackson Browne all did Prine songs. Great night and an event I'll go to again if I'm lucky. It was Jackson's birthday as well!

Ethical dilemma? Two MAGA talking on Discord, one lives in Central Florida, directly in the path of Milton. They are debating whether to evacuate or not.
The other MAGA assures them that they should stay put so FEMA doesn't confiscate their mobile home and take it for illegals. More insanity and lies go on for a bit.
I just logged off, without saying a single word. It wouldn't have helped.
Thoughts and prayers, Trump voters. Thoughts and prayers.
Flew in from that other place. Very Glad to be here, people are central to social media that works.
