A reminder that ratified treaties are *the law* and a refusal to carry out a treaty obligation is a violation of law.
The North Atlantic Treaty was ratified on July 21, 1949, and has been part of U.S. law ever since.
If a presidential candidate were to indicate an intention or desire to unilaterally abrogate the treaty or fail to abide by it, it is the same as if he were to indicate his intention to commit assault or rob a bank.

@sfleetucker @brainwise The GOP gave up on the premise of actually governing years ago. Success to them is crashing it into dust. All problems (immigration, fair taxation and election funding, etc.) are an opportunity to power grab - that is all.
