@Eaglesfanintn I'm in the same boat - can't wait for kickoff. I get not having a horse in the race but people seem to be trashing anyone with an interest in the game. When something's not my cup of tea I don't go out of my way to put down those of us pumped up for this game.

@Spagesgallo1 we just adopted a rescue dog after being dogless for about a year. What joy that animal brings every day. You folks saving these creatures are modern day saints.

I'm a retired person and the AARP doesn't represent my best interests at all when it matters - before the election.
In the mail yesterday I got a letter from AARP warning me about a republican-based bill, The Trust Act which is going to attack Social Security benefits of retirees. Their letter solicited donations to fight this bill.
In July of 2022 I sent an email to the CEO of AARP asking why they're supporting the election of pols that were going to attack Social Security. I received a response telling me that I was misinterpreting the motives of those pols receiving AARP endorsements. Bullshit.

Republicans raised the debt ceiling three times during the Trump administration with no fuss at all. They never felt it necessary to try to persuade Trump to cut spending, and the Freedom Caucus didn’t utter a peep as he massively increased the deficit. These hostage situations are reserved for times when the GOP holds the House and a Democrat is in the White House. Shocking, I know.
