Friends, as we age many of us are heading down south to escape the snow and cold. Unfortunately, a large number of us end up in Florida. This article is chilling. Florida seems to be a land where laws can be used against you - especially if you're aging and end up in the hospital. This man's story is an abomination.
@altucker yikes. Some years ago I saw this movie which deals with a similar set of (fictional, I think) events & found it pretty chilling:

Some advice to possibly avoid this type of ending? Have an estate plan. Have a list of emergency contacts in your wallet or on your phone.
