@CinnamonGirlE I follow John as well. Lost my wife of 32 years in April of 2020 at the height of the Covid Pandemic. She didn't die directly from Covid but it affected what care was available to her. Because of Covid I went months isolated and suffering from extreme grief. In January of 2021 I met someone for coffee. She hugged me. It meant the world to me at the time. It still does. We aren't meant to be alone - it's too hard.
@altucker
I completely and sadly understand. Lost my husband in 2018 after a two year fight with cancer. I fell into depression, then Covid hit after that. It was a long several years. Last year I started doing better. This year my family and friends say I am unrecognizable from what I was.
I am so sorry about your wife. And I am glad you have somebody. I too met someone. I understand it meaning the world. He's a best friend and more. Being with a caring soul is always better than alone.
