@_xochin zero privacy protection - you agree to sign over your content-data in perpetuity. that alone is the main disqualification for me.

@_xochin Blue sky is 'owned' by the guy that created Twitter way back in the day and is set up in such a way that there's no way to sue him to force him to sell. There are other blocks to take overs like the programing being public and hosted on a variety of different folks servers. So if someone buys it after he dies, somehow, IDK how they would profit but they would not own all the servers nor the data or programing etc. I'm not an expert on it but.. that's the gist.

@_xochin some people leaving twitter for bluesky are bringing the worst of twitter with them so they aren't really escaping the cesspool that twitter became. They are just spreading the stink.

@_xochin I don't know if many people from here are going, but there's a mass exodus from Twatter to Blue Sky and elsewhere, there's been some new people here lately too, more than usual.
