Itโ€™s not too late to register to ! Come on, folks! This is not the election to sit out. Itโ€™s close. We need EVERY vote.

Tomorrow is most likely going to be just terrible. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ, vote and do anything else you can. Starting Wednesday, it will be important to look ahead to the next chance to fix things. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ, we need to make sure it doesnโ€™t spread to here. Itโ€™s already on the rise, as we feared.

New folks. The server stack is either overloaded or being attacked....or both. This is NOT how it normally is around here.

I'm sure J is on it. Give it some time.

@Ryan_FromCanada Same here. Since 2010. But itโ€™s time to move on. I hope the people who depended on Twitter find a replacement.

"So now we get breathless speculation about Trumpโ€™s announcement date, because it stirs up the same emotions amongst most of the press that the impending arrival of Christmas Day does among children. He is a gift to them and to the laziest impulses of the press." oliverwillis.substack.com/p/ma

@Chuck50 contact vote from abroad. They have expert staff who know the rules for all 50 states and the territories. States are required to accept the fwab by federal law and cannot disenfranchise you.

Please vote if you are a US citizen. Even if you are out of the country, you can vote. Itโ€™s still not too late. Go to VoteFromAbroad.org. You can use the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB) which stars must accept. . .

@Chuck50 Iโ€™ve been using a workaround which is to switch between the firehose and friends steams and then, at least for me, they both update. Somethingโ€™s takes a few tries, though.

Ignore the polls. Vote like it's your last. VOTE PLEASE VOTE!

@steelydan To follow someone, click on their name/avatar photo and a button for follow should pop up.

@MPCavalier Only about 5% of people in North America are on Twitter. Itโ€™s integral, though, because basically every reporter and politician is on it and itโ€™s a rare news report that doesnโ€™t refer to it or quote tweets.

Itโ€™s going to be interesting, in a passing-a-car-crash way, to see what happens on Twitter. My follower number there is dropping rapidly, which I assume means a bunch of people are leaving. Can something as integral to current society really be trashed that fast? Or is it just going to change into something else (and much less desirable)? I think it will probably survive in a way that I will be much less likely to use.
