This is what worries me to death--that this is a different sort of threat, because of the alt-right propaganda apparatus with massive, instant reach. And a GOP that has pretty much betrayed the country.

1/2 Could go at least two way, neither good. First is that Trump, his base, most of GOP, alt-right media all dig in and bulldoze all the opposition. Hold on through midterms, which then validates this "movement." Essentially they win, and Breitbart, Fox, etc become the establishment in the US.
2/2 Second alternative is they lose, finally, trashed in midterms and FBI indicts a bunch the Trumpists. The. We have ~35% of the country supporting the idea that the enemy has taken the US that rightly belongs to them, and supports a move to "take it back." I find it hard to see a scenario where this ends well.
