They say you shouldn't put your self worth into other people's hands, but it's sure is hard not to. Especially Instagram is great at punching down " works on a painting for 4 weeks, feels super proud, only bots comments " type of deal. I know better, but still wish people showed more interest in my work. Cause I doubt my own capabilities and then don't know what to do, it's less like that here on coso but... other places it hits bad. I just want to talk about what I've done, and feel seen.
@Zolah it’s fully normal to want to engage with other people to connect and share. We all need that. Have you tried displaying at an art walk or a collective? I don’t personally find the digital space to be as engaged as interactive, in-person spaces.
@Aicila I have not done so since I left school, not even sure how to do it outside studies to be honest. I've planned to do alot of art to he able to make an exhibit or similar this year but I'm kinda doing it blindly xP digital space did work pretty well once for me but it changed so much, and so have I. I had a rather popular pony blog once but I got tired of it and wanted to make something 100% my own ip.
