Now I've heard more info about why #ozempic is so hard to get ahold of, and it makes me sad.My dear old dad can't get his meds cause ppl are using it for weightloss? According to what I've read... thanks to celebs and influencers. My dad has diabetes and been fighting brain cancer,blood illness, heart issues, and whatnot! Sadly a really long list of problems.And now one of the meds that made his life pretty bearable is out of reach. "Ppl with diabetes can handle just fine just with training!"Tbc
@Anarchaeologist I don't know how long my dad's been out, it was probably around Christmas. Is trulicity a similar med?
I'm sorry you have to go throu that ontop of medical issues, here we don't have that issue thankfully. Still very bothersome when the meds are gone thou
@Zolah Trulicity is duaglutide vs. semaglutide. I don't know any more about it but should have some in hand today. I can update you later if I find anything out.
Only other thing doc said is to start off at low dose for three weeks. I hope it works as well as ozempic/semaglutide.
Thank you though. Fortunately the insurance issue isn't financial for me, they can only send nasty letters b/c I have veterans Healthcare. Lots of others here not so fortunate
@Zolah I have been out for about 6 weeks, saw doc Thurs and she changed prescription to Trulicity.
Now braced for incoming storm of Insurance company disapproval.
