My best friend lost her mom today, its so hard to know what to do when someones closest family departs. I think I did my best thou, told her that I would be available whenever she needs to talk or just someone who listens. I wish i could do more, but I think sorrow is something you majorly have to go through yourself - but I bet its easier if you know there is someone waiting on the other end with open arms. ( or a hand supporting you through it when you need ).

@Zolah It's a paradox. She's so lucky to have forged a relationship so integral to her life, not everyone experiences that. However, at the end, the cost is a crater that you arrange a cease fire with, it never heals. You're a good friend, truly.

@Zolah

You are kind. People grieve differently, and need different things. I am more than sure your friend appreciates your open hands and arms. She will find a way of letting you know what she needs from you.
