Is there a way to hide specific posts without blocking ? Ex I'm very scared of X. But there is no keyword I can hide it with and since I'm pretty sure it's just happening once I don't want to unfollow or block the person - it's just unhappy coincidence that it's ontop of my timeline for so long. #cosohelp
You can mute for a limited time, if it's just one person?
@ExecutiveFunction404 it's a boosted message from another user, I would normally not mind but X creeps me out so much and it's unfortunately top on my feed xP I wonder if I can mute the original poster so I can still see possible new messages from the person I follow?
I believe muting works like that, but I'm not sure bc I rarely use it (and usually forget when I do anyway loll. You'd mute/block the person who posted the original post that you keep seeing. You can put a time limit on it also, so if you forget to undo it, it does it for you. One second, I'll find it on the app for you 😊
I was mistaken the time limit is for the filters. The filters don't work for this specific thing? Can you choose an unpopular word from the post to use as a filter?
If not, you can open any post from said person, click on the three dot menu on the bottom right (green in ss), which will pull up the block/mute/report features (pink). If you choose mute and allow notifications (it says something else), you won't see anything from them until they mention your handle.
@ExecutiveFunction404 unfortunately the tags are not related to X, or can you tag any word even if its not # ?
This is just an example, imagine an aquarium and the poster only tagged aquarium but the thing that's bothering me is the eels on the image. So it's pretty innocent but just unfortunate
Thank you BTW for helping out , it warms ^^
@FernLovebond @ExecutiveFunction404
Thank you ^^ I try to avoid muting in that manner since my adhd pretty much has a " out of sight, out of mind ". So it could become a permanent ban by mistake >_<
