Awhile back I saw Nick Bradshaw post this beautiful piece of #DCComics ’s Main Man, #Lobo and I threw some colors on it. #comicbookart #comicbookartist #comicbookcolors #comicbookcolorist
@CharlieKirchoff OH MAN! I love Lobo! I remember when i read his comic the first time as a kid, my sister had it in her room ( well my room, she still had her stuff there thou ). Nice colours to, I need to go a course or something.
@Zolah Hey thanks! I’ve always loved Lobo as well.
And as a shameless plug, all of my coloring courses are available to my patrons on Patreon, if you’re interested. 😉https://www.patreon.com/charliekirchoff
@CharlieKirchoff Haha! No prob! I find it so hard to find where to go in the sea of stuff so its just appreciated. Everything comes down thou to if i can afford it atm, but ill keep the link until i hopefully can !
@Zolah Totally understand. Just want to mention that you can access them as low as the $1/month tier. I’m not expensive 😋
@CharlieKirchoff Thank you ^^ I guess im just worried that im missing a work step or something that they usually use in "industry standards". Im kinda bad at making my own comics so ive been of late thinking that I should look into colouring other peoples comics. Sadly its a part of the education my school kinda left out
@Zolah honestly, there’s not really an industry standard as far as the process goes. There’s like a million ways it’s done. The only thing that you may need to know is how the prepare the file for print, like what color profile and the ink density. A lot of publishers don’t specify though, so I usually just use MARVEL’s specs for everything.
