As we learn results and reflect upon the choices that were made, I hope that we can eventually bridge the divide and begin to see things as one nation instead of opposing sides of the same coin. The infighting of our political parties has to end. They must find common ground and *invent* new ways to work together to make this country a singular, *sane* one, once again. The division and rhetoric must stop if we are to move forward successfully as a nation.

More in common than that which divides us...

@Zailrand

Yes! And allowing our politicians to tell us differently is part of the problem. They must stop that divisive shit and get on board with some actual solutions to our problems. Or they should be voted out. That's their choice, no matter the party, as far as I'm concerned.

@Irishroze I'm in favour of PR and hung parliaments (UK) on the grounds that no one then has enough majority to fuck stuff in the way the last 12 yrs of ever more RW Tory govts have.

@Zailrand

I must admit to not knowing a whole lot about UK politics, but I personally believe that extremism in any form is a bad thing. And when you get a single party that controls so much power for so long, it becomes a beast of its own making...and that NEVER turns out well. For anyone. Like, EVER in the history of the world has extremism been beneficial to a populous.
It creates havoc everytime.

That just means that we need to take more care in staffing our governments, right? πŸ˜¬πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
