Yes. What an explosion!
That's a terrible crash. Pilots train for how to "crash" but with fighter jets... if they can't send them out to the ocean (which is BAD ENOUGH) there aren't many places that a jet can explode on land and not create a terrible accident.

Don't know but it's America.
@dauphin87 @YouInMyEye I think that was from the Michigan air show last year. The jet was a Russian MiG and it crashed into a bunch of (luckily) unoccupied cars right beside an apartment building, so it could have been a catastrophe.

There was another one - can't remember where it was, maybe Carolina? - anyhow 911 gets a call from someone that they have a pilot in their back yard. 911 operator is all "What?" and the caller is like, "Yeah, with a parachute, please send an ambulance." Then the pilot gets on the phone "Yeah I'm a pilot, I ejected - I have no idea where the plane is." π¬

My father was a jet fighter pilot in the Marine Corps.
Thank God the pilot ejected out.
