@YouInMyEye I assume about 30-35% of the country will hate it and want to assault me. π
When did this happen?
@YouInMyEye When did I buy it? Today, assaults are in the future.
π I meant as a nation. Were the fascists already here only they lived under rocks? How do we drive them back under rocks?
Yes, the fervor.
It's a matter of putting them back in the pandora's box.
@YouInMyEye Or under their rocks.
They crawled out from under their rocks; I like the hermetically sealed pandora's box option better.
@YouInMyEye @Charles_Hawtrey
Can we send them to Grindavik? π π
@YouInMyEye @Charles_Hawtrey
On a serious note though, I agree that they were already here and are driven by racism. Other things as well, sort of a generalized fear of the end of their perceived culture.
I remember in 2016, when we learned of Russia's involvement, many attributed the frenzy to RU propaganda. They certainly were working the fault lines, but as we slowly realized, those lines were already there.
Yep. The idea of first black president, I think, contributed a lot.
@YouInMyEye @Charles_Hawtrey
Good point! And followed up by the threat of, OMG, a woman as president! π± While the rest of the world saw progress, they must have been seeing the end of the world.
@YouInMyEye @Charles_Hawtrey
I love that meme! I bet I got my copy from you.
That's the real problem. Never before have individuals, or even corporations, held enough wealth to influence the politics of nations as they are now.
@YouInMyEye @p3R1n01D Bingo!
@YouInMyEye I think it's a big part of the basis of the whole MAGAt movement (I mean 'movement' in two senses π )
