Just got a terrible text from Mom.
A guy I've known his entire life, a guy blended into our extended family murdered his wife this morning.
He wasn't that kind of guy. I think he was at his wits end. She had dementia and it had become progressively worse.
So this morning Chuck slit her throat and then tried to slit his own.
His neighbors are saying he died in surgery, but his cousin is saying they saved him in surgery.
Shining city on a hill, my ass.
