@WordsmithFL I was in school; I remember they dismissed early.
Was home sick. Remember my stepmom crying uncontrollably. Scared me.

I was in parochial school. The classrooms had all sorts of #JFK stuff on the walls before the shooting, so needless to say it greatly affected the nuns.
I would have been seven years old. About all I remember:
(1) During lunch hour, one of my classmates running in to say Kennedy had been shot.
(2) My father getting up early on Sunday to watch the funeral procession.
