@WordsmithFL I am afraid that's the plan. I hope the US institutions stand firm, but in effect, it is the people who have to resist.
@ToruOkada Well, "the people" -- the majority, at least -- just chose to commit political suicide. They willingly gave up their liberties to a known menace.
I can certainly see #Trump ordering the military to open fire. He's tried before.
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he puts the military on the border and orders them to shoot anyone trying to cross, including children.
Thank you. And the best way to make that happen is for us to be an example.
Resist.

They couldn't be bothered to vote, a very passive exercise, so I doubt they'll be motivated to engage in active resistance.
@WordsmithFL Roughly a quarter of the US population and a third of the registered voters voted for The Disgraced Former President. And even among those who voted for him, many will not be comfortable that this happens in their name. The US has a window of opportunity to turn things around before the killing of your neighbor becomes normalized. I can certainly see The Disgraced Former President ordering the military to open fire. But I also can see the US citizens resist this order.
