@MLClark Thank you ... My modest little vanity blog already started a fist fight over on Zombie Twitter involving multiple #StarTrek alumni. A writer got mad because someone in the thread posted a link to a site that has archived DS9 scripts. He was mad because he wasn't compensated for his scripts being published. Out of all that came the mistaken notion that I'm publishing Trek scripts, which I'm not. Fingers pointing in all directions. So much for IDIC. 
@MLClark The core issue is that, once upon a time, the Roddenberrys profited from Lincoln Enterprises. Among their schemes was selling photocopies of scripts. The writers were never compensated, presumably because the script belongs to the studio, which licensed Lincoln.
Seems to me the writer's gripe is with the WGA. If it's not covered, it's not covered.
My sin apparently was mentioning that I'd once bought DS9 scripts in bulk from Majel because ... (1/2)
@MLClark ... I was writing for #StarTrek licensees and needed the scripts to know how to spell names, terms, etc. Majel gave me a deal.
When I was done, I donated the scripts to local screenwriting class taught by a one-time Star Trek writer.
Lincoln is long out of business. Someone in the thread posted a link to where the DS9 scripts are now online for free. That triggered the writer in question.
Mind you, all this was 30 years ago. Why he's fussing now is beyond me. (2/2)
